Admissions Process
WinGate admissions counselors are here to help parents through this difficult stage of finding the right program and getting everything ready for placement. Their experience and expertise will help you feel comfortable with the complete process of admitting a child into WinGate. Please feel free to call our admissions team any time at 1-800-560-1599.
Once parents have decided to place their child with WinGate, the admissions process begins with the ONLINE APPLICATION. In order to ensure that each student is an appropriate fit for WinGate’s program and philosophy, all applications are reviewed by our Admissions, Clinical, and Medical departments. The admissions counselor will speak with parents as soon as possible following this determination to finalize admission plans.
Admissions into WinGate can happen throughout the week or weekend (additional charges may apply for weekends/holidays). Upon arrival, each student will receive a short sports physical (including blood work and urinalysis), and then proceed to the field office to get geared up and ready to meet the group. Ask an admissions counselor for specifics on which airport will best handle your arrival needs. Airport options are found here.
Brad Matheson, MBA, Director of Admissions
For over 8 years, Brad has helped hundreds of families navigate the difficult road of choosing a program that suits their child’s therapeutic needs. With great compassion, knowledge, and experience, Brad communicates clearly how taking the right steps now can bring healing to hurting hearts and homes.
Upon graduating with a Bachelors degree in Marketing, Brad looked to apply his knowledge and experience in a service-oriented atmosphere and his love and concern for the youth steered him to the adolescent treatment industry. Having worked for Wilderness, Residential, and Transition programs, Brad understands the full continuum of care available to families. Helping families understand this full process has been one of Brad’s greatest strengths. In fact, parents often compliment Brad for his caring manner in a very difficult decision process.
