Scott Hess, M.A., LMFT – Clinical DirectorHelping families and children create marked change is a guiding value in Scott’s career. Having worked with teens and their families for 16 years, Scott’s ability to break through the often calloused and hardened shell of severely oppositional children, and reach core issues, has helped hundreds of students make this marked change. With unyielding zeal, Scott builds relationships of trust and respect, inviting students to find themselves, and heal their relationships.
After finishing his professional degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Scott began his career working with juvenile sex offenders in locked facilities. After gaining valuable skills in this arena, Scott moved into the private pay sector working in several residential and wilderness programs as a Counselor, Clinical Director, and Executive Director. His training in family systems has brought a valuable focus on creating solutions for the entire family system, while helping students make imperative choices at a critical time in their life.
Throughout his career, Scott has focused on his own development and is always looking to become better skilled, and prepared to intervene in a way that promotes success. This focus on personal development has helped him professionally gain a solid reputation as an industry leader. More importantly, this focus has helped him personally as he and his wife raise their 4 children
