Therapeutic Boarding Schools for Troubled Teens in Ohio | Boys & Girls
Therapeutic boarding schools for troubled teens are a good choice for parents in Ohio that feel as though they have run out of options in raising their troubled teen. However, there are more effective alternatives to therapeutic boarding schools. If you are a parent that is in need of assistance in helping your troubled teen meet their full potential, then please call WinGate Wilderness Therapy at 1-800-560-1599 . Let us discuss with you how we can help you and your troubled teen get back on the right track.
WinGate Wilderness Therapy is a wilderness program located in the desert of Southern Utah. We assist troubled teens (both boys and girls) that are between the ages of 13 and 17. We specialize in helping troubled youth that struggle with various issues. These issues include partying, recreational drug abuse, alcohol abuse, sexually acting out, loss of interest in school and submission or disrespect towards authority figures.
Studies have proven that troubled teens are able to receive treatment in a wilderness based program easier than they do at a more traditional program. This is mainly because the teen is removed from all of their prior distractions that enabled them to live a negative lifestyle. The teen is taken out of their comfort zone and cannot be distracted by modern technology such as Facebook or television. This in turn, allows the teen to fully concentrate on their problems and issues that led them to their current state.
Teens that are addicted to drugs and alcohol or suffer from disorders such as ADD, ADHD, bipolar or any other type of psychological disorder will receive adequate therapeutic treatment from our highly trained therapeutic staff.
Another reason that WinGate is so effective with helping troubled boys and girls, is the fact that these teens do not feel like they are institutionalized. Most boarding schools or programs for troubled teens, require students to be locked up inside a facility for the majority of their stay. This can often hinder a troubled teen's growth because they do not see the staff as allies, but rather as the enemy that keeps them locked up all day.
Our unique approach to serving wayward teenagers, allows us to help them feel a sense of freedom while giving them the therapeutic treatment they so desperately require. We do not create resistance with our students, so they can view our staff as someone that can help them overcome obstacles, rather than someone who just wants to dictate their behavior.
If you feel as though you are helpless with raising your troubled teen and want help, please call us now at 1-800-560-1599 and let us inform you on how we can help.
